MANNOL introduces new motorcycle oils: 4-Takt Motorbike 5W-40 and V-Twin 4-Takt 20W-50
Expanding a broad portfolio – with oils for a wide range of applications
MANNOL is expanding its extensive motorcycle oil range with two new products: the newly developed 4-Takt Motorbike 5W-40 and the reintroduced V-Twin 4-Takt 20W-50 in plastic containers. Each oil is tailored for specific use cases: the 5W-40 serves as a flexible all-rounder for performance-oriented machines operating under changing conditions, while the 20W-50 is specifically designed for large-displacement V-twin engines.

“For 4-Takt Motorbike 5W-40, the focus was on versatility – from sporty use to everyday riding. Key criteria included high-speed stability and clutch compatibility,” explains our product development team. “We developed V-Twin 20W-50 for engines that move a lot of thermal mass at low RPM – with an emphasis on heat resistance, oil film stability, and smooth clutch engagement.”
Engineered for diverse demands
MANNOL 4-Takt Motorbike 5W-40 is specifically formulated for high-load four-stroke gasoline engines – suitable for motorcycles, ATVs, scooters, snowmobiles, and jet skis, regardless of cooling type, transmission design, or clutch system.
Its ester-based formulation ensures stable lubrication and oil film retention, even under high thermal stress. It reduces friction, protects the cylinder-piston group and valve train, supports consistent clutch performance, and prevents slipping during shifting. Additives help maintain engine cleanliness, facilitate cold starts, and preserve performance even under extended use.
Meets API SP and JASO MA/MA2 specifications and is suitable for a wide range of models from APRILIA, BMW, BUELL, DUCATI, HONDA, KAWASAKI, MOTO GUZZI, SUZUKI, TRIUMPH, and YAMAHA – including motorcycles with or without catalytic converters and with injection systems.
MANNOL V-Twin 4-Takt 20W-50is aimed at heavily loaded V-twin engines used in street, off-road, and touring bikes.
Its high viscosity ensures reliable lubrication at low engine speeds and high ambient temperatures – particularly in air-cooled engines. Ester content reinforces the oil film, reduces evaporation losses, and maintains stable clutch function even during frequent starts or extended idle periods. Additives enhance wear protection, preserve the cleanliness of engine and transmission components, and help prevent overheating. Now available in 1 L and 4 L plastic containers for easier handling and use.
Meets API SG to CJ-4 and JASO MA/MA2 specifications and is recommended for HARLEY-DAVIDSON, BMW CRUISER, VICTORY, INDIAN, YAMAHA, ROYAL ENFIELD, TRIUMPH, HONDA, SUZUKI, and KAWASAKI.
