Five days at the trade fair, countless conversations and many new contacts: MANNOL looks back on a successful Automechanika 2026 in Frankfurt. At the leading international trade fair for the automotive aftermarket, the company presented its broad portfolio of lubricants, operating fluids, additives, and care and service products. Personal interaction with customers and partners from a wide range of markets was at the heart of MANNOL’s presence at the show. In an interview, Managing Director Konstantin Gaab reflects on the event and shares his key impressions from Frankfurt.
Trade visitors to the MANNOL stand had the opportunity to explore the existing product range as well as the latest developments. Particular interest focused on the new products based on organic molybdenum technology. These additions further expand the MANNOL portfolio of more than 500 products and solutions for a wide variety of applications in workshops, retail and vehicle operation.
Strengthening existing partnerships and building new relationships
Alongside the products, personal conversations were a key focus in Frankfurt. The MANNOL / SCT Germany sales team used the event to reconnect with numerous long-standing business partners while also establishing new contacts with workshops, specialist retailers and distributors. The trade fair also provided an opportunity to move a number of joint projects forward.
Two examples were the discussions with AUTODOC and ANAG (Automobilgruppe Nord AG). With AUTODOC, MANNOL discussed the further optimisation of joint logistics structures and even more efficient processes along the supply chain. Talks with ANAG focused, among other things, on the next concrete steps in the partnership. In future, member businesses of the purchasing and service cooperation are also expected to be able to source MANNOL products on ANAG terms.
Motorsport draws the crowds
One of the main attractions throughout the five days was the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in MANNOL livery. The race car is fielded by Grupo Prom Racing and competes in several renowned racing series. On the opening day, racing driver Colin Caresani also visited the MANNOL stand. Visitors had the chance to meet the Dutch GT3 driver in person, take photos with him and collect autographs. Another eye-catcher at the stand was a custom-built MANNOL Harley-Davidson.
Three questions for Konstantin Gaab, Managing Director MANNOL / SCT Germany
Mr Gaab, what is your overall assessment of Automechanika?
Konstantin Gaab: ‘We are extremely pleased with the trade fair. Many of our partners from across Europe and other parts of the world came to Frankfurt and took the opportunity to speak with our sales team in person. We were particularly encouraged by something we heard several times: customers are now actively asking for MANNOL products by name. That shows us that our quality and value-for-money proposition are gaining increasing recognition in the market.’
Which topics were at the forefront of your discussions?
Konstantin Gaab: ‘Of course, we talked about products and specific projects, but the current market situation and geopolitical developments were just as important. Many of our partners are asking the same questions: How will markets and supply chains develop, and how can we continue to ensure reliable supply in the future? For us, it is important to address these issues openly, listen carefully and discuss possible solutions and perspectives together.’
What will MANNOL take away from Frankfurt?
Konstantin Gaab: ‘Above all, confirmation that MANNOL has a strong presence in the market today. We see that in our relationships with our partners, but also in our conversations with other market participants. We are being noticed, and at the same time we experience a very fair approach to one another. We also received very positive feedback on our motorsport activities and our involvement with FC Schalke 04. Performance, quality and the drive to keep improving are values that connect these engagements very well with what MANNOL stands for as a brand. Strong partnerships are hugely important, especially in challenging times like these. With that in mind, we wish the entire industry strength and success.’
