MANNOL is ramping up its motorsport involvement: following the successful conclusion of the GT Winter Series and its already confirmed participation in the GT World Challenge Europe, the MANNOL Mercedes-AMG GT3 from the Grupo Prom Racing Team will also compete in the International GT Open in the 2026 season. The lubricant manufacturer is thus expanding its collaboration with the Mexican racing team to include another prestigious European racing series.

The International GT Open represents a strategically fitting platform for further expanding MANNOL’s brand awareness in Europe. The racing series is held on renowned tracks in several key European markets and offers high visibility in those specific regions where the company has been growing steadily for years. Alongside international brand positioning, this also strengthens the activities of sales partners in the corresponding countries. MANNOL has been engaging in motorsport for many years to demonstrate the performance of its lubricant technologies and further develop them in real-life competition environments.

The 2026 International GT Open programme consists of eight race events. Two of these, Spa and Monza, will be held as 500-kilometre endurance races. The remaining race weekends will each feature two sprint races. The Mercedes-AMG GT3, with its striking MANNOL livery, will compete in both the sprint and endurance races. The car, bearing start number #77, will be driven by Alfredo Hernández (MEX) and, in the endurance races, also by Stéphane Tribaudini (FRA). The teams will meet for official testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 20/21 March to prepare for the season. The season opener will take place in Portimão from 17 to 19 April. The series will visit Germany from 11 to 13 September at the Hockenheimring. The season finale will be held in Barcelona from 23 to 25 October.

    >Konstantin Gaab, Managing Director of MANNOL / SCT Germany: ‘The International GT Open offers a very attractive overall package: professional competition, attractive tracks and exciting sprint and endurance formats. At the same time, the series is an ideal opportunity for us to put our brand in the spotlight in key European markets and support our local sales partners. Together with the Grupo Prom Racing team, we want to use this stage to gain valuable experience under racing conditions.’
